The North Atlantic Buckskin Association (NABA) is an official Charter Club of the International Buckskin Horse Association (IBHA) covering the states of New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. IBHA is the largest Buckskin Registry in the World. NABA was incorporated in 1973 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of the Buckskin, Dun, Red Dun and Grulla horses.
NABA hosts several horse shows throughout the year where people can show their IBHA registered horses for national points. One of the highlights of the weekend is our "Potluck Supper" held Saturday after the show. Bring a dish to share and pull up a chair and get ready for a great meal and some lively conversation!
Although NABA is primarily a color breed, we offer an extensive Open Division. Everything from Showmanship to Pleasure to Barrels! Open classes are open to all Breeds and all Colors. You do not have to be a NABA member to enter any of these classes at the shows. But, if you would like to compete for Year End Awards, you need to join NABA.
NABA offers "Hours on the Trail", a trail riding program which offers a Year End Award for the High Point Adult and Youth riders. Once you sign up, you will receive a log sheet to keep track of your hours. All log sheets must be sent in by the end of September and winners will be announced at the Awards Banquet.
Hope you will join us for an exciting 2008 Show Season!
